Personal bio
Gordon is an experienced barrister solicitor, arbitrator and adjudicator. He has 45 years' experience of engineering / construction dispute resolution. He has practised as a partner and lawyer in international firms in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. He has been appointed as sole, party-appointed arbitrator in numerous construction arbitrations in Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, and appointed in two investor-state arbitrations
As a barrister and solicitor, he has conducted over 50 complex domestic and international arbitrations in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Jakarta and Australia.
He is has also conducted over 50 statutory construction adjudications in Australia, of claim value up to A$85m.
Prior to 1996, he practised as a civil / structural engineer and project manager in New Zealand and Australia on major oil and gas, mining and infrastructure projects.
Gordon is empaneled on the SIAC, HKIAC, ACICA, AIAC, JCC, and LCIA panels, and is an arbitrator on the CIArb Presidential Panel.
