Personal bio
Dr. Majid Pourostad is a Barrister & Solicitor at the Law Society of Ontario and the Founding & Principal Lawyer of the NATIONS GATE® Law Professional Corporation in Toronto. He holds a Professional LLM in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University (2019) in Toronto, and he was also a Visiting Scholar at the same institute. In addition, he is a Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb), accredited by the ADR Institute of Canada (Ontario).
Prior to relocating to Canada, Dr. Pourostad was a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Iran, teaching Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence, International Commercial Arbitration, and Comparative Law. His academic accomplishments include an LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. in Private Law (Civil Law) from the University of Tehran. Beginning in 1999, he gained extensive legal experience, articling and practicing before appellate courts and La Cour de Cassation in Tehran. Dr. Pourostad also served as a commercial arbitrator at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC) from 2009 and as an instructor in Arbitration Law at the same institute."
