Personal bio
Moshood Abiola is a seasoned legal practitioner, arbitrator, and Bar leader, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. He is the Senior Partner at M.B. Abiola & Co., a dispute-focused law firm he founded in 2013, with a practice spanning criminal and commercial litigation at all levels of court, as well as arbitration, corporate, real estate, and probate services. A member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (CIArb), he brings additional expertise in alternative dispute resolution to his litigation practice. Passionate about access to justice, he has undertaken numerous pro bono criminal cases for indigent defendants. Alongside practice, he has devoted over a decade of service to the NBA Lagos Branch, where he has served as Publicity Secretary, Secretary, Ex-Officio, and Co-opted Executive Member, and is currently Chairman of the Taskforce on Illegal Practice of Law. He has also contributed to several Branch and National Committees, including the NBA National Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and the Local Organising Committees of the 2019 and 2024 NBA Annual General Conferences.
