Dr. David La Rosa-Presume is a decorated U.S. Army veteran with over 15 years of service, during which he received multiple honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal. He currently serves as the Risk Manager at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, where he oversees the organization's legal cases. Additionally, he is an assistant clinical professor at UCSF, teaching graduate nursing students and co-leading a mentoring program for minority high school students interested in pursuing medical careers. In 2023, Dr. La Rosa-Presume was appointed to the National Board of Directors for Nation’s Finest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans across the United States. In 2025, he joined the American Health Law Association as a mediator and is also a member of the Florida Orange County Bar Association. Dr. La Rosa-Presume is widely recognized for his dedication to improving the lives of veterans and their families and for his contributions to healthcare education and risk management.
