Personal bio
Mr. Truong Trong Nghia is Co-Chair of the Dispute Resolution Practice at YKVN and one of Vietnam’s most experienced dispute resolution practitioners, with over 40 years of experience in litigation and arbitration. He began his legal career in 1981 at the State Economic Arbitration of Vietnam, where he presided over more than 400 economic cases, before transitioning into private legal practice.
Mr. Nghia has extensive experience in domestic and international litigation as well as cross-border arbitration, and regularly advises Vietnamese and foreign clients on disputes arising from corporate, commercial, construction, trade, investment, PPP and M&A matters. His clients include major Vietnamese state-owned and private corporations, financial institutions, as well as multinational companies operating in Vietnam.
He is a senior arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and has acted as presiding or panel arbitrator in more than 25 arbitration cases. Mr. Nghia has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) since 2020.
