Total of over 30 years experience in the UK, Malaysia, and New Zealand as a construction professional and academic. Former director of the Malaysian branches of two international project management and construction contracts consultancies. Currently Associate Professor at the School of Built Environment, Massey University, New Zealand. Also hold adjunct academic positions at Taylor's University Malaysia and University of Reading Malaysia.

Society of Construction Law (New Zealand) representative on the Standards New Zealand construction contract review and drafting committee that published the NZS 3910:2023 and NZS 3916:2025 (design and build).

Also involved in drafting plain language standard forms of construction contracts for Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, and Vietnam.
