Personal bio
I am a mediator specialising in intellectual property (IP) and music/entertainment industry disputes and the founder of Root Mediation.
My route into dispute resolution comes directly from the music business. Over more than a decade I held roles across major and independent music companies, including Universal Music Group, Sony Music and MTV, working closely with rights, royalties, claims and collection societies. Through founding my own music publishing company Rekodi Music, I have seen first-hand how disputes over rights and royalties can stall payments, damage relationships and escalate unnecessarily and how often they can be resolved without litigation.
Root Mediation was built to offer alternative, confidential and cost-effective resolution for disputes involving artists, labels, publishers and rights holders.
I completed my Civil and Commercial Mediation Training with the London School of Mediation (LSM), I am a Qualified Mediator registered with the International Mediation Institute (IMI) and hold an MA in Songwriting and a BA in Commercial Music.
