Contract Administration Manager (June 2009 to present) of Msheireb Properties Real estate/property developer (the Employer and the Engineer in the contract), a Qatar Foundation subsidiary company. Manages contract management of a £ 4 billion mixed-used development project and £ 150 million resort project in Qatar. Responsible for contracting strategy, development of procedure, selection and drafting conditions of contract, oversee tender process, risk management and construction insurance claims, award of contract, amendments to contract, conduct negotiation, dispute avoidance, dispute resolution and support legal team in litigation; from simple to complex contracts, from small to large contracts, and from operating to capital project contracts. He is the key player in the Engineer office (FIDIC) in managing contracts of MDD Downtown project with seven main contractors, each at the value of £ 500 million, and dozens of contractors and consultants from UK, US, European countries, Japan, and Korea, using Red Book for contractors and White Book for consultants; from the early stage of concept design/initial budget, during design and construction/contract administration, until hand-over/final account. His contributions include interpreting the conditions of the contract, contractual relationships, enforceability, privity, exclusion, limitation liability, misinterpretation, mistake, duress, undue influence, illegality, change in law, frustration, and discharge by performance or breach, and remedies.
