Personal bio

I am an independent civil and commercial arbitrator with over 35 years of experience in business law, commercial litigation, and domestic and international arbitration. I have recognized expertise in managing complex disputes involving significant legal, financial, and strategic issues. I am known for a rigorous, impartial, and efficient approach to multiparty dispute resolution.

As an independent commercial arbitrator, my experience is built on supporting national and international companies facing complex disputes, both legally and strategically. For several decades, I practiced as a partner in a large law firm, where my work focused on commercial litigation as well as domestic and international arbitration. I advised and represented organizations operating in demanding legal and business environments, involving significant technical, financial, and strategic issues.

My experience spans a wide range of sectors, including corporate and commercial law, distribution and franchising, real estate and property development, construction, and intellectual property.
With over 35 years of experience in business law, I bring my legal and strategic expertise to rigorous, impartial, and efficient arbitration. I act in multiparty disputes, in both French and English, as a sole arbitrator, chair of arbitral tribunals, co-arbitrator, and mediator.

As a lawyer, I have notably acted in disputes involving the interpretation and enforcement of shareholders’ agreements, asset purchase agreements, and limited partnership agreements, as well as franchise, distribution, and licensing agreements.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and an arbitrator accredited by the Barreau du Québec as well as by the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ).
