Personal bio
I am a family law arbitrator based at Coram Chambers in London and Family Law Partners in Brighton, Surrey and the surrounds. I arbitrate finance and children cases.
Financial background includes expertise in complex divorce finances, pensions, and Tolata (cohabitation cases and intervenors). Children background includes expertise in relocation and so-called 'alienation' and related behaviours.
I also offer arbitration on a narrow-issues basis where matters might be dealt with 'on the papers' and/or where extremely prompt turnaround times are needed. Examples include (i) directions in existing matters where a court application would be slow or otherwise undesirable, (ii) matters of interpretation of orders, (iii) specific disputes about the details of co-parenting arrangements (e.g. summer holidays), or (iv) decisions on contested points within other NCDR processes such as mediation.
Other relevant expertise:
- I am a family law barrister, called to the Bar in 2009.
- I am an experienced mediator (registered with Resolution, where I am a member) with advanced training in high conflict disputes via the High Conflict Institute in California, so I bring this experience to arbitration as well.
- I take safeguarding very seriously and always work to ensure that the arbitration space is safe for all participants.
