Personal bio
I am highly qualified in law and engineering. I have a master's degree in Construction Law and Dispute resolution and am currently completing my PhD. I hold professional memberships, am a mediator with CEDR, an associate expert with the academy of experts, and chartered with ICE. I consider myself a person who can use the law or contract to solve problems. I pride myself on being proactive and comfortable in advancing my knowledge. My PhD maybe is based on statutory residential construction dispute resolution. However, my interest in law is not confined to homeowners, ADR, or contract law; it is the full spectrum. If I have sparked your interest, the rest of this email will explain how you can avail of my knowledge and how you can help expand my legal knowledge. I am preparing for my SQE exams and hope to take them in the summer of 2023. Allowing me to register as a solicitor even though the knowledge is there, I am just pending the paperwork; I hope this will not delay me from being allowed to put my learning into practice. My cover letter links my professional experience to my skills and attributes. It is established that success in dispute resolution requires a varied set of skills. Skills cannot be easily obtained by working primarily within one industry. My CV lists my duties and responsibilities held in each job role. I hope I piqued your interest enough to read these at your leisure. I would like you to know that I have signed up for a course with the university of law to ensure I pass my SQE examinations next year. I am sure an engineer rarely approaches you with extensive knowledge of contract law and ADR expertise, stating they will be an asset. However, if given the opportunity, I know I can become a valued member of your team.
