Personal bio
brahim Alturki is an academic and legal counsel specialising in international dispute resolution, with over 10 years of academic and practical experience in litigation, arbitration and cross-border disputes.
He advises government entities, national and multinational corporations on Saudi law and dispute resolution. He has experience in matters conducted under leading international arbitration rules, including ICC, DIAC, LCIA, SCCA and UNCITRAL. He currently serves as the head of legal at Amazon Saudi Global Store.
Ibrahim is also an academic, lecturing in commercial law at Qassim University and has given seminars on international commercial arbitration and sales law at the University of Cambridge, where he did his PhD in law. At Cambridge, he was the president and founding board member of the Cambridge Arbitration Society, co-coach of the Vis Moot team, and managing editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal. Ibrahim has published articles in leading law journals and has several forthcoming publications.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Islamic Law from Qassim University and an LL.M. (Distinction, and on the Dean’s List) from Georgetown University, specialising in International Business and Economic Law with a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. He also has a PhD in law from the University of Cambridge.
