Personal bio
Niklas van Doorne is a mediator who treats conflict as something held in bodies, relationships and systems — not only in positions and interests. Across more than a decade in some of the world's most acute conflict settings, from South Sudan to Iraq, he has built a practice of conflict transformation that draws on trauma-informed care, group dynamics, organisational development, ecological awareness and Nonviolent Communication. The conviction beneath it is restorative and simple: disputes are rarely only about how they appear on the surface; durable agreement begins with what can be said. I help the parties expand the space what can be said and bring connection and solutions that work for everyone.
