Personal bio

Dr Khaled has been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1995 from the Lincoln's Inn. Later on he obtained an LLM in International Business Law from King's College London in 1997. Dr.Khaled qualified as an Advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council with the right of audience in the High Court Division of Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 1996. Since then he has been involved in diverse civil and commercial practice gradually developing a keen interest in ADR. He is a senior Partner at Dr Khaled H Chowdhury & Associates. He obtained Post-Graduate Certificate in Arbitration with Distinction marks having passed Law of Obligations& Arbitration Practice& Procedure from the Robert Gordon University, Scotland. He has been involved with Commercial Arbitration as a legal representative and as a Member of Tribunal. He has taken up Sports Law as an area of specialisation as well. He represented English cricketer Darren Stevens and former Bangladeshi Captain Mohammad Ashraful in BPL Match Fixing hearing at the ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal in 2013. Apart from this, Dr Khaled leads London College of Legal Studies (South), which is the recognised teaching and Support Centre of University of London, UK in Bangladesh respectively with excellence in providing support to those seeking English Legal Qualifications in Bangladesh, leading to a place to complete the Bar-at-Law (BPTC/BTC) in the UK. He is also the present Vice-President of the Barristers Association Bangladesh having served as the Treasurer in 2002.
