Ira Paulo A. Pozon is a seasoned legal and policy professional with over a decade of cross-sector experience spanning public service, international development, and private enterprise. He brings a robust background in international commercial law, government relations, and dispute resolution, underpinned by leadership roles across Southeast Asia.
Mr. Pozon currently serves as Manager of the Legal, Policy, and Quality Management Office at SEAMEO INNOTECH and has previously held pivotal roles, including Chief of Staff at the Anti-Red Tape Authority under the Office of the President of the Philippines, and Legal Counsel to the Philippine Vice President. He has played a key role in institutional reforms, regulatory streamlining, and legislative advocacy, while also contributing to the development of arbitration-relevant frameworks—particularly during his LL.M. at the University of Nottingham, where his dissertation focused on the impact of sanctions and public policy on arbitral enforcement.
An award-winning leader and Chevening scholar, Ira is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors and a member of various regional and international policy bodies. He is widely published in both legal journals and mainstream media, and regularly speaks at global fora on governance, legal innovation, and policy development.
With proficiency in English, Filipino, and Mandarin Chinese, and with academic and practical training across the UK, China, Singapore, and the Philippines, Ira bridges legal expertise with global diplomacy and strategic insight—advancing the practice and accessibility of arbitration across the region.
