Personal bio
I practiced as a solicitor in England and in Hong Kong from 1991 to 2026, and acted for clients in contested litigation and arbitration concerned with shipping and international trade, joint ventures, fraud and other commercial disputes. I also have significant experience of arbitration-related litigation.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) since 2018, I have acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and tribunal chair in numerous institutional and ad hoc arbitrations under HKIAC, SIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL and other rules.
My experience spans a diverse range of sectors, including shipping and international trade, intellectual property, and cross-border investment and shareholder disputes. I
I also have expertise in emerging sectors, such as cryptocurrency and digital assets.
I am available for appointment in disputes of all sizes, and am committed to a proportional and cost-effective approach, ensuring that my fee structures are reasonable and tailored to the complexity and scale of the matter at hand.
