Personal bio
Nathan has law degrees from Oxford (MA) and Cambridge (LLM PhD), where he was a scholar. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by Gray’s Inn. He practised as a barrister from Quadrant Chambers in London, and was a law professor in Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Nathan led the Law Commission's review of arbitration law, and assisted in the passage through Parliament of the Arbitration Act 2025.
