Wei Khai Tan is a Managing Director at Ankura based in Singapore. A civil engineer by training, he has over 15 years of specialised experience in delay and disruption analyses and project scheduling. He has been appointed as an independent Delay and Scheduling Expert Witness in multiple international and domestic arbitrations, including two high-value, complex international arbitrations, each involving hundreds of millions of US dollars in dispute.
Wei Khai’s experience in construction disputes spans a wide range of industry sectors, which encompass building, process plants, utilities, power generation, tunnelling, railway infrastructure, land reclamation, shipbuilding, and oil and gas projects across Asia, Australia, Middle East and South America. In addition to acting as expert witness, Wei Khai regularly provides consultancy on construction delay and disruption issues, extension of time claims and dispute resolution process for live projects.
Prior to joining Ankura, he worked for international contractors and an engineering consultant, where he gained extensive experience in project planning, on-site construction practices, claims preparation and engineering development.
