Personal bio
Carly is a Partner at Walker Morris LLP and is a specialist in construction and engineering law, known for advising clients on managing risks before, during and after construction projects, and in avoiding, resolving, and minimising the impact of construction related disputes. Carly has extensive experience of dealing with disputes in engineering and power generation projects.
Carly's technical ability and experience is demonstrated by the fact that she is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Carly serves as Executive Committee Member and Regional Coordinator of the National Adjudication Society.
Carly grew up on a council estate in Huddersfield and was the first person in her family to go to university. Carly was awarded the European Women in Construction Award – Construction Law 2025 and the O Shaped Lawyer Award 2024 for her work in improving diversity in the legal profession.
