Merrick Watson focuses his practice on commercial disputes, insolvency litigation, and international judgment and arbitration enforcement. He advises clients on matters that involve both onshore and offshore jurisdictions, including commercial fraud cases, asset recovery and debtor-creditor disputes.
Mr. Watson is currently counsel at Kobre & Kim (BVI) LP, and before then practiced at Martin Kenney & Co. Solicitors, where he worked on complex commercial litigation and cross-border insolvency matters. He has 14 years of experience and is admitted to practice in 13 countries in the Caribbean: (1) Antigua & Barbuda, (2) Anguilla, (3) British Virgin Islands, (4) Barbados, (5) Belize, (6) The Commonwealth of Dominica, (7) Guyana, (8) Grenada, (9) Jamaica, (10) St. Kitts and Nevis, (11) Saint Lucia, (12) St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and (13) Trinidad and Tobago.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Watson served as a judicial assistant for High Court Judge His Lordship Justice Ephraim Georges and as Legal Intern at the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal headquartered in Saint Lucia.
