Personal bio
I am an independent international arbitrator, having launched Knudsen Arbitration after a 25-year career as a lawyer. My background as a Supreme Court attorney in Norway and a solicitor of England and Wales has provided me with extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution, which I now dedicate to serving as an impartial and efficient arbitrator.
I have acted as counsel in numerous complex cross-border commercial disputes under the rules of major arbitral institutions including ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, ICDR, and NOMA. I have also been appointed as an arbitrator by parties and leading arbitral institutions,
including the SCC and DIA. My experience as an arbitrator and counsel covers a broad spectrum of cases, from commercial contracts and construction projects to post-M&A, energy, and maritime disputes.
I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and active in the global arbitration community. I serve as a board member of the SCC Arbitration Institute and am on the lists/panels of several institutions, including HKIAC, SIAC, DIAC, LCIA, and SCIA.
My commitment is to deliver fair and enforceable arbitral decisions through efficient and well-managed proceedings
