Pramod Oommen, holder of bachelors degree in engineering (B.Tech) and masters degree in construction law (LLM) has 21 years experience in middle-east construction industry. He has a wealth of knowledge working in commercial buildings, international airports, oil & gas, power plant and other infrastructure projects.
He holds multiple certifications as Project Management Professional (PMP), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Certified Cost Professional (CCP) and RICS Expert Determiner. His experience portfolio includes many prestigious projects like New Muscat International Airport (MC1, MC3, MC6, MC12 packages), Bahrain International Airport (BIA), Bank Muscat H.Q., New Doha International Airport (BUATC), East Corridor Road Package 2 (Qatar), Barzan Onshore Gas Facilities (Qatar), Sadara Petrochemical Plant (KSA), Msheireb Downtown Doha Phase3 (Qatar), National Praffin & Derivatives Yanbu (KSA), Coal Fired Power Plant (Kalimantan-Indonesia) and Al Ansab Sewage Treatment Plan (Oman).
Pramod enjoys practising the dark art of delay analysis, he is well versed in most forms of retrospective delay analysis and adopts a tailored approach to prepare time extension claims. In his career, he was involved with the new Muscat International Airport for four years in multiple roles related to project controls and claims. In the last nine years, he’s worked solely as forensic delay analyst on prolongation / disruption claims and arbitration cases (in supporting role).
Pramod is well versed in most forms of forensic delay analysis in the construction industry. He is familiar with the Society of Construction Law (SCL) delay and disruption protocols, AACEI recommended practice 29R-03 and FIDIC suite of contracts. He has provided assistance to delay experts in several ICC arbitration cases. He is a certified RICS expert determiner and holds memberships with CIArb and AACEI.
