ADR is preferred mode of dispute resolution for that it is faster, convenient and usually a win-win situation. Having dealt in amicable settlement in several Intellectual Property, Family and Commercial matters, I suggest even those contesting before courts also should at least try the Alternative Dispute Resolution methods for an out of court settlement, where ever possible.
