Johnson Ogechukwu Agwu is a distinguished legal practitioner and scholar-practitioner with over 13 years of experience navigating the intersection of commerce, regulation, and emerging technology. As an Associate Partner at Alliance Law Firm, he specializes in high-stakes commercial litigation, Energy and Environmental Law, insolvency resolution, Finance, and data privacy governance.

Throughout his career, Johnson has provided strategic legal counsel to systemic financial institutions and global telecommunications giants, including leading sensitive data privacy audits and resolving complex asset recovery disputes. His practice is underpinned by a deep commitment to local and cross border insolvency as well as "Algorithmic Sovereignty"—a concept he champions to bridge the digital governance gap between the Global North and South.

A contributor to legal scholarship, Johnson has authored or co-authored several authoritative works on insolvency and technology regulation, including "Selected Conundria in Contentious Winding Up Proceedings in Nigeria" (2025).
