I am a construction professional specialising in façades/building envelope with 40 years’ experience working internationally in senior roles for world leading construction companies, engineering consultancies and property developers. I am an Associate Partner at Ridge & Partners working as an Expert Witness for Facade Engineering and Construction. My experience is well balanced across design, project management, construction management and contract management. As part of my work, I have been regularly involved in the determination/negotiation of claims and resolution of disputes and over the years I have developed a keen interest in the ‘legal’ side of my profession. This led me to enrol in and obtain a MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolutions form King’s College London, where I have been trained in construction adjudication and arbitration. As part of my studies, I have passed the CIArb Arbitral Award Exam and consequently attained CIArb Fellowship.
Due to my specific experience, I am well versed in adjudicating on technical issues pertaining to architectural façades, but I am also trained in the assessment of technical and commercial/contractual disputes in other fields of construction.
