Personal bio
Jonny Shipp is a Brussels-based neutral expert mediator accredited by the Belgian Federal Mediation Commission. He helps business, government, and other organisations to create new possibilities by exploring their own and their stakeholders’ interests.
Expert in strategy, innovation and digital responsibility, Jonny works internationally to help digital organisations understand their impact on society and improve their trust and safety practices. He is a facilitator of progressive digital policies and smart regulation, having particular interests the Digital Services Act and AI Act in the EU, and the Online Safety Act in the UK.
In leadership roles at Telefónica (2003 – 2017), Jonny pioneered approaches to online safety, data, and digital trust. He served as a senior board member at the Internet Watch Foundation (2010 – 2016), and as a School Governor he supported the turnaround of three London schools (2009 – 2020). In 2018 he founded the Internet Commission, now part of the Trust Alliance Group.
