Personal bio
Jonny Shipp is a Brussels-based independent management consultant and mediator accredited by the Belgian Federal Mediation Commission. He helps business, government, and other organisations to create new possibilities by exploring their own and their stakeholders’ interests.
Expert in strategy, leadership and digital policy, Jonny works internationally to help digital organisations understand their impact on society and improve their trust and safety practices. He is experienced in EU and UK digital regulation, with current interests including Regulator Sandboxes under the EU AI Act and out-of court dispute settlement under the EU Digital Services Act.
In leadership roles at Telefónica (2003 – 2017), Jonny pioneered approaches to online safety, data, and digital trust. He served as a senior board member at the Internet Watch Foundation (2010 – 2016), and as a School Governor he supported the turnaround of three London schools (2009 – 2020). In 2018 he founded the Internet Commission, now part of the Trust Alliance Group.
