Lilly is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with more than 13 years’ experience in legal practice having been admitted to the bar in December 2011. Her credentials include Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and a Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Kenya having joined the same in 2020. She is also a Certified Mediator having undertaken her training with the Mediation Training Institute EA.

As an Arbitrator, Lilly has been appointed by CIArb Kenya to hear and determine domestic disputes of varying size and complexity, covering a broad legal spectrum, including: Breach of contract, Company law, Conveyancing and Property rights and Commercial law. She has also acted as Party representative in various arbitration proceedings since her admission to the bar in 2011. As a Mediator, she has been able to assist parties to disputes sit down and agree on issues, particularly in matters of custody and maintenance of children, matrimonial property and succession.

She is currently the managing partner of NML (Ngeresa, Masengeli and Lungwe) Advocates LLP, a boutique law firm located in Upper Hill area within Nairobi, Kenya. Previously, Lilly has worked as the Managing Partner Ngeresa & Okallo Associates Advocates and as an Associate Advocate at Wasilwa & Company Advocates, Lubulellah & Associates Advocates and P.K. Kamau & Company Advocates. She has horned her skills as a litigation lawyer in various areas of law including but not limited to employment and labour law, family law, contract law, commercial law, environment and land law, constitutional and human rights law.

In addition to being a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Kenya, she is also a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London, Law Society of Kenya, Young AfAA (African Arbitration Association), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and Women in ADR.
