Personal bio
I am a lawyer with over 21 years of professional experience, combining a strong foundation in international human rights law with a focused and developing practice interest in alternative dispute resolution, particularly arbitration. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, United States, and an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution (with Distinction) from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
My interest in arbitration is driven by its effectiveness, flexibility, and growing relevance as a credible mechanism for resolving complex disputes beyond traditional litigation frameworks. I am particularly interested in the role of ADR in institutional justice systems and its contribution to efficient, fair, and enforceable dispute outcomes. I currently serve as a Senior Research and Legal Affairs Officer at the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice in Abuja, where my work intersects with legal research, policy development, and the broader administration of justice.
