Elsa Ortega is a lawyer and arbitrator with over 25 years of experience in international commercial arbitration. Throughout her career, she has been involved in large-scale, highly complex disputes administered under the rules of leading arbitral institutions, including the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Mexico City Arbitration Center (CAM), and the National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City (CANACO).

Her practice has also encompassed the representation of clients in investor-State arbitrations, as well as serving as arbitrator in cases before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), giving her a comprehensive understanding of arbitration law in both the commercial and investment protection spheres.
