Srinivas holds a Masters in Mercantile Laws with a graduate qualification in Law, Business Administration and Science from Republic of India.
He is a Member of Business Development and International Relations Committee, Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Malaysia. He is an External Member (Industry) of a Law College. He is a member of the task forces of the International Chamber of Commerce Institute of World Business Law, Paris, on Arbitration, International Contracts and Compliance. He is a Member of the Society of Construction Law (UK), India Chapter.
Current Position
Srinivas is Head Legal with Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited, India and the USD 2 billion manufacturing business conglomerate, Amara Raja Group (www.amararaja.com), as its legal advisor, gatekeeper, conscience of the corporation, ethical advisor, and builder of a culture of ethics.
Professional Experience
Srinivas has 24 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law department administration, commercial dispute resolution management, contract management, intellectual property management, legal advisory, and general corporate advisory, and has dealt with businesses/industries into manufacturing, engineering, energy and mobility, automotive, infrastructure, component solutions, engineering & automation, tool works, electronic systems design and manufacturing, life sciences, biotechnology, foods & beverages, media & entertainment and corporate social responsibilities entities into education, skill development centers and primary health centers. He has been an advocate in civil and criminal matters before various judicial as well as quasi-judicial authorities.
Srinivas handles day to day corporate legal affairs related to Advertising, Marketing and Sales promotion activities, Intellectual Property Protection, Vendor/Supplier Relations, Customer/Consumer Relations, Insurance and Risk Management, Employment Matters, Licensing, Franchising and Distribution Arrangements, International Affairs, Transactional Matters, Litigation and Alternate Dispute Resolution Proceedings, Environmental Matters, Electricity Matters, Indirect Tax Matters, Special Matters, Real Estate Activity, Compliance Matters, Manufacturing & Supply Contracts, Engineering Contracts, Services Contracts, Technology Contracts, Intellectual Property Contracts, Infrastructure Contracts, and all other Contracts.
Arbitration Experience
Srinivas has used arbitration as an effective tool for resolution of disputes and has been involved in several arbitrations on commercial disputes and electricity matters.
He is empaneled as an Arbitrator with India International Arbitration Centre, India; Asian International Arbitration Centre, Malaysia; World Intellectual Property Organization, Switzerland and Gujarat International Maritime Arbitration Centre, India.
Teaching Experience
Srinivas is granted a provisional approval in the CIArb’s Approved Faculty List of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, for the courses, Introduction to Domestic and International Arbitration as Course Director, Tutor and Assessor.
Speaking Engagements and Publications
Srinivas is a regular speaker on diverse topics such as commercial arbitration, mediation, dispute, conflict, compliance, intellectual property before various forums, both national and international. He conducts general and bespoke training programmes on a variety of legal topics both for legal and non-legal executives. He has co-authored articles on arbitration. He has contributed on legal aspects of contracting and procurement to World Health Organization, Switzerland. He is a co-author of “Contract and Commercial Management - Operational Guide, International Association for Contract and Commercial Management, USA.
