Personal bio

I am closing in on four decades of experience representing corporate policyholders in enforcing their rights to insurance coverage for a wide range of losses and liabilities under nearly every type of commercial insurance policy. My recent work has focused on seeking insurance coverage for mass tort liability, mostly arising from the use of products, under Bermuda Form insurance policies. Those policies require that all disputes be resolved via ad hoc English-seated arbitrations, so much of my work over the past two decades has been in the London arbitration arena. I have, of course, also litigated in both federal and state courts throughout the United States and have overseen numerous mediations, both domestically and internationally. The claims with which I have been engaged have involved various allegedly hazardous chemical products and pesticides, as well as allegedly defective building products, among other things. I also have successfully secured insurance coverage for securities claims, wide-scale environmental contamination claims, asbestos-related bodily injury claims, a kidnap and extortion claim, and for both man-made and natural disasters.
