Personal bio
Michael Diggiss, owner and principal of the firm Michael Diggiss & Associates (MDA Designs) has more than 30 years of architectural and project management experience under his belt. MDA Designs major clients include Albany Development, Atlantis Resort, Lyford Cay Club and Doctors Hospital. He was also the Lead Consultant for the $100 million Critical Care Block for the PMH. Diggiss true gift is taking that which only can be dreamed in your imagination and bringing it to life. Diggiss is a founding member of the Construction Seminar Group (CSG), a Certified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a distinguished lecturer.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Carleton University, Ottawa ON Canada in 1985 and in 1994 completed a Professional Certification Program (PMP) in Project Management with the Project Management Institute, Pennsylvania (Ottawa Canada site).
In 1997 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University and in that same year, he became a registered architect for the Professional Architects Board in Nassau Bahamas and served on the board Disciplinary Committee in 2002.
Diggiss is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) as well as the former Chairman of The Bahamas Branch (2020 to 2021). He was appointed Chairman of the Queens College Foundation in the 2015. He is the former host of the radio show, BLUEPRINT for CHANGE, a show that focused on issues related to the Built Environment and our national challenges. He was also the Senior Project Manager and Deputy Commissioner General for the EXPO Bahamas Pavilion that ran from October 2021 to March 2022 in Dubai UAE. He is currently a member of the Bar Association Discipline Tribunal.
