I have been involved in may construction, infrastructure, oil and gas and marine projects in UK, Ireland, Germany, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Egypt, Kazakstan, Singapore, Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Morocco, Taiwan,, from inception to completion,
I have been involved in arbitration on many disputes between Employers and Main Contractors, Contractors and Sub Contractors, Sub Contractors and Suppliers on projects in UK, Ireland, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman such as minor alterations and renovations in UK and Ireland, major design and build specialist sub contract in UAE, major dredging sub contract in UAE, major mixed use developments in UAE, major headquarters project in Bahrain as as the advisor to the claimant and defendant/respondent.
I am empaneled on the panels of arbitrators of the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration and the Asian International Arbitration Centre, Thailand Arbitration Centre and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Dubai International Arbitration Centre, Cayman International Mediation and Arbitration Centre, Maldives International Arbitration Centre, and have had several nominations for ad hoc arbitrations.
I have taken part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Pre Moot in London for Fox Williams/CIArb and LCIA, Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Alexandria, Hamburg and the Final Vis Moot in Vienna. I have also take part in the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Arbitrations and the Alfred Deakin Moot. I have also been requested by various law schools in Asia to act as Arbitrator as part of their preparations for the competition.
I have also been involved as a Mediator on several minor disputes between parties in Ireland and UAE.
I have been involved in Adjudication in UK and Ireland as Adjudicator and as Party Representative for several Referring Parties and have been involved in preparing Notices of Adjudication many resulting in Amicable Settlements between the Parties prior to Adjudicator appointment. I have also drafted the Request for Adjudicator by mutual agreement or by Appointing Bodies.
I have also been involved in complex Adjudications where Referrals, Reply to Response and Surrejoinder were required plus attendance at hearing arranged by Adjudicator, complying with Adjudicator's instructions after hearing.
I have been engaged as Expert Determiner on disputes between a Main Contractor and Specialist Glazing Contractor and a Main Contractor and MEP Contractor in UAE and several minor disputes between individuals in Ireland.
I have been engaged as a Quantum Expert Witness on many disputes in the District Courts, High Court in Northern Ireland, Domestic and International Arbitrations and have been cross examined on several occasions.
I have been involved in the preparation and defence of claims for extensions of time, prolongation and disruption costs, suspension of contract ,variations, termination of contracts in Ireland, UK and the Middle East.
