Personal bio

I am the founder of Lake Legal Limited, a specialist family law team based in Leeds. Although I am based in the North of England, my arbitration practice extends far and wide..

I have practiced exclusively in family law for over 35 years. I was the first family lawyer in Leeds to be ranked as a Star Individual by Chambers & Partners and I am one of just three individuals listed in the 'Hall of Fame' in Legal 500.

I have been described by Legal 500 as ‘the real Queen of financial remedy in the North East region’ and that I am 'an exceptional and dynamic lawyer.' Chambers UK has described me as having 'a brilliant mind and is technically, commercially and emotionally astute'. I seem to be widely regarded as having a no-nonsense approach! I qualified as a Family Law Arbitrator in 2012 and have since conducted numerous hearings both in person and remotely, together with private FDR hearings.
