Personal bio
Tom is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge, is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the RICS and leads Quantik as Managing Director, where he heads the firm’s expert witness and construction claims services.
He has been appointed as a quantum expert witness on disputes ranging from £100,000 to £5 million, and has also acted as an advocate on cases valued between £1 million and £80 million.
Previously a Commercial Leader at Laing O’Rourke in the UK, Asia and Australia, Tom has delivered projects across a wide range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education, defence, justice, water, highways, rail, nuclear, manufacturing, and disaster recovery. He is known for his ability to unpack complex technical issues and provide clear, structured analysis supported by robust methodologies.
Tom is also committed to the advancement of the profession. He is an RICS APC assessor and serves as the external examiner for the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship at Leeds Beckett University.
