Dr Olena Perepelynska is a Partner and Head of International Arbitration at IMPACTA LAW in Kyiv, Ukraine. With over 20 years of experience in international arbitration, she has participated in more than 230 proceedings – primarily related to Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia – as arbitrator, counsel, legal expert, and in institutional roles.
As 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, Olena has acted in 120+ commercial and investment treaty arbitrations seated in Almaty, Bishkek, Kyiv, London, Lviv, Minsk, Paris, Montreal, Stockholm, and Vienna. These cases were conducted under the Rules of ICC, LCIA, VIAC, SCC, ICAC at UCCI, IAC at BelCCI, ICA at CCI KR, Atameken, and UNCITRAL. Applicable laws included CISG, as well as Austrian, Belarusian, Czech, English, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Quebec, Ukrainian, and Uzbek law.
As 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹, she has represented clients in 110+ international arbitrations under ICC, LCIA, SCC, DIS, ICAC and MAC at UCCI, GAFTA, FOSFA, LMAA, UNCITRAL, Vienna, and Swiss Rules.
As 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁, Olena has provided expert opinions on Ukrainian law in investment treaty arbitration and foreign litigation proceedings.
𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 include serving as ICC Court Member (2018–2024), TIAC Court Member (2019–2022), and Supervisory Board Member of ICA at CCI KR.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Olena currently serves as European Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the IBA Arbitration Committee, Chair of the ADR Committee of the Ukrainian National Bar Association, and Board Member of UAA, TAA, ArbCEE. She is a Member of the Global Steering Committee of ERA-PLEDGE and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). She served as President of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association from 2016 to 2024.
