25 years' total experience as an in-house lawyer and an arbitration and litigation solicitor in private practice law firms in the City of London.

Until 2022, Divisional Director (Claims) at a market leading insurer of marine liability and legal expenses. Frequently pursued or defended claims in arbitration as in-house lawyer on customers’ behalf. Otherwise, instructed outside lawyers in England and many other jurisdictions and continued to manage the disputes as a client.

2015-22 member of BIMCO Documentary Committee, which publishes most of the world's standard form maritime contracts and clauses. Sat on Drafting Sub-Committee responsible for BIMCO’s suite of four Liquefied Natural Gas ("LNG") Fuel Clauses for Time Charterparties.

2015-2022 member of UK Chamber of Shipping Documentary Sub-Committee.

2016-2022 member of International Group of P&I Clubs Production Operations and Specialist Craft Committee and LNG Indemnities Working Group.
