Served for 22 years as a United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Practiced law specializing in commercial litigation as a partner at a large US law firm. Also served 5 years as a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York. Now have spent nearly 10 years as an arbitrator, mediator, and mock trial/appellate judge, and as an expert witness on issues of New York law.
