Personal bio
Monica Güicho González is a Mexican constitutional lawyer, former Federal Labor Court Judge, and dispute resolution practitioner with extensive experience in adjudication, public law, labor law, and institutional decision-making. She has served in judicial and senior public sector positions with nationwide jurisdiction in Mexico, leading initiatives in judicial modernization, digital justice, equality, and human rights.
Monica pursued doctoral studies in Economic Constitutional Law at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and has received national recognition for transparency, integrity, and public sector innovation. Her professional experience includes the drafting and resolution of complex disputes, judicial decision-making, and the interpretation and application of constitutional and administrative law.
She is a member of the International Association of Women Judges and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Mediation and Arbitration Center of the National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City. She is also a regular columnist and speaker on dispute resolution, rule of law, judicial reform, and emerging legal challenges in the digital era.
Having completed the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Accelerated Route to Fellowship Programme, Monica is particularly interested in international commercial arbitration, arbitral decision-making, enforcement of awards, and the intersection of arbitration and public law.
