Personal bio
My name is Abdulaziz Al-Oweis, and I have a deep passion for the fields of law and arbitration. I possess extensive experience spanning many years, having started my career as a licensed attorney and notary public from the Saudi Ministry of Justice. I am an active member of the Saudi Bar Association and the Saudi Systems Society, and I am proud to be a certified arbitrator at the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), as well as a listed arbitrator at the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration, and a certified arbitrator at the Amman Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Center. I have also been appointed as an arbitrator in numerous cases by the SCCA, as well as by the Courts of Appeal in Saudi Arabia, which has allowed me to apply my expertise and knowledge to resolving complex disputes.
I believe that continuous learning is the foundation of development, which is why I have been keen to obtain distinguished academic qualifications, including a Master's degree in Private Law, a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Law, and a Diploma in International Law and Business Administration and Investment. I have gained valuable practical experience through working in law firms and companies, and holding administrative positions in major corporations, which has given me a deep understanding of business challenges and contemporary legal issues.
I am constantly striving to develop my skills in the field of arbitration by attending specialized training courses, such as courses in the law, practices, and procedures of international arbitration, the new arbitration system and its applications in engineering disputes, and the settlement of disputes through alternative methods.
Thanks to my experience and qualifications, I believe that I am a valuable addition to any arbitration body. I am committed to providing high-quality arbitration services, and working in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards to achieve justice and protect the rights of all parties.
