Personal bio
Harjaap is a Research LLM candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, researching the impacts of the Global Minimum Tax. He completed his undergraduate law degree at National Law University, Delhi (India) and holds a Diploma in International Arbitration from Arbitration Lab. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (ACIArb), and attended the Winter Courses of the Hague Academy of International Law (Netherlands) in 2024. He attended the Global Trade Law Academy 2024 (International Trade Law) at the National University of Singapore where he was one of only 10 examinees to pass the Advanced Exam. As Alumni Engagement Coordinator and an Associate Editor at JURIST (USA), Harjaap regularly contributes to the discourse on pressing legal issues globally, ensuring that vital information reaches those who need it most.
Currently, Harjaap is actively seeking articling opportunities in Ontario (Canada), and is eager to apply his knowledge and skills in a practical setting. He is particularly interested in roles that allow him to engage with international arbitration, international tax, international trade and public international law.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Harjaap leverages his skills in leadership and strategic planning to foster growth and innovation at Dil Se Media Group. This role allows him to connect with diverse audiences, sharing stories and insights that resonate within the community, and allowed him to be featured in the Top 100 Canadian Professionals Magazine 2025. Aditionally, Harjaap regularly volunteers in the community, including as a legal committee member at Empowered Futures (Calgary, Alberta), was a United Nations Millennium Fellow 2022, and regularly judges moots including the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2024, (for which he was a memorials judge and marked 13 memorials).
With a strong foundation in law and a keen interest in international legal frameworks, Harjaap is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. He looks forward to connecting with others to explore how they can collaborate to make a positive impact in the legal field!
