Pablo Laorden is the Managing Partner of LÁMBAL Abogados, a Spanish law firm specialized in engineering and construction projects.
Mr. Laorden holds a Law Degree (Universidad Complutense of Madrid), a Master’s Degree in Construction and Real Estate Law (Madrid’s Polytechnic University), is a member of the Madrid Bar, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), member of the Society of Construction Law, founding member of the Spanish Club of Engineering and Construction Law (SCL in Spain, Club de Derecho de la Construcción y la Ingeniería, CDCI)) and of the Asociacion Latinoamericana de Derecho de la Construccion (ALDEC), and is the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) Country Representative for Spain.
Recognized by FIDIC as an Accredited Adjudicator (President’s List) and Accredited Trainer, Mr. Laorden acts both as advisor and as Dispute Board member and/or arbitrator. He has written more than 35 DB decisions.
As a trainer Mr. Laorden has taught more than 150 official FIDIC courses, both in-person and online, with more than 3.500 attendants from over 20 countries.
Mr. Laorden provides legal and contractual advice to the engineering and construction industry, drafting and negotiating contractual documents, advising during the construction period, and assisting in claims and dispute resolution including ADR, litigation and arbitration. He participates in all types of projects around the world including building, civil works, energy, oil & gas, ship construction, and utilities.
