Personal bio

I am a lawyer based in Florence. I graduated cum laude from the University of Siena in 1994, having written my thesis on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. I then obtained an LL.M. in International Business Law from University College London in 1999. I specialise in international contracts and disputes. I have served as counsel, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in international arbitral procedures, both ad hoc and before prominent arbitral institutions. I also act as chair of a dispute boards. From 2021 to 2024, I was Chairman of the European Branch of the CIArb, and I am on the CIArb Approved Faculty List. I am a board member of the AIA (Italian Arbitration Association) and of the Italian Chamber of International Lawyers. I am national representative for Italy of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation. I am a member of the CEA, ArbIt (formerly co-chair), the SLC and a Fellow of the CIArb. I am also the Regional Secretary for Italy of the British Chamber of Commerce.
