Personal bio
Mark is a legal consultant with a First‑Class LLB and professional training in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He has a particular interest in how ADR and adjudication can support the fair handling of disputes in education, including disagreements between parents and local authorities, issues around learning support, and the resolution of concerns about provision or process.
His academic work is grounded in education, anthropology, and history. This background gives him practical insight into how people, systems, and decision‑making processes interact in real educational settings.
He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and a Fellow of several learned societies, including the Royal Society of Arts, the Royal Anthropological Institute, the Royal Geographical Society, the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors, and the Higher Education Academy.
