Personal bio

Lura H. Bechtel, Q. Arb., FCIArb., is an arbitrator and experienced New York-licensed lawyer with 20 years of substantive experience in executive compensation, employment disputes, litigation and commercial transactions. She has particular expertise in the financial services industry and US-Canadian cross-border matters. In addition to being a Fellow in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, she is a Qualified Arbitrator through the ADR Institute of Canada, and a roster arbitrator for the US Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP). She is the principal of Bechtel ADR Inc. based in Toronto, Canada.

Ms. Bechtel is currently the co-chair of the International Committee of the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Section.
