Personal bio

Aisha Ado Abdullahi is a seasoned legal practitioner, dispute resolution expert, and development consultant with over two decades of professional experience. She is the founder and Lead Counsel of Green Edge Attorneys, a full-service law firm established in 2006, where she practices as a Barrister, Solicitor, Notary Public, ADR Expert, and Capital Market Solicitor. She is also an alumna of the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), China.
Aisha is a co-founder of Green Horizon Development Consultancy and the Green Horizon Institute of Training and Research, both dedicated to legal innovation, development policy, and capacity building. She also serves as a trainer on business integrity and compliance with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the NGX Academy of the Nigerian Exchange.
She currently holds the position of Vice President (Legal) of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). Previously, she served as General Counsel and Legal/ADR Consultant at ACCI, where she co-founded and led the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Center.
In the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) landscape, Aisha is the Second Deputy President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) Nigeria, having previously served as Registrar and Deputy Registrar. She is also the President of the Institute of ADR Registrars and a member of ICMC’s training faculty.
A prominent figure on the international legal stage, she served in several roles within the International Bar Association’s (IBA) Mediation Committee, including as Website Officer, Membership and Communications Officer, Co-Chair of the Young Mediators Committee, and Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
Her contributions to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) includes serving as the Treasurer of Kano Branch and Social Secretary of Kano Branch before going ahead to serve as National Financial Secretary (2012–2014), National Treasurer (2016–2018), and a member of the Council of Legal Education (2015–2018) representing the NBA. She continues to serve the NBA in various strategic committee roles.
Aisha is an accredited neutral and panelist with the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centers, the Kano and Abuja Multi-Door Courthouses, and the Online Dispute Resolution College of Neutrals (ICMC). She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Nigeria Branch.
She has led and contributed to numerous national and international development initiatives, including:
• The domestication of the National Gender Policy for Jigawa State,
• Traditional justice system training in Jigawa,
• The Presidential Committee on the Northeast Initiative (PCNI) for conflict management and transitional justice,
• Strategic planning support for Sexual Assault Referral Centers (SARCs) in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe under the EU’s Managing Conflict in Nigeria (MCN) programme.
An accomplished litigator and ADR specialist, Aisha has successfully handled numerous cases, including matters up to the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
