Personal bio
John is a member of the Royal Institution Chartered Surveyors, the RICS President’s Panel of compulsory purchase specialists as an Evaluative Mediator and Independent Determiner, the Compulsory Purchase Association, and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
John has over 23 years of property experience and has been advising acquiring authority clients, developers, property owners and occupiers affected by compulsory purchase on both regeneration and infrastructure schemes for the last eighteen years. He is an elected national board member and the 2024/25 Chair of the Compulsory Purchase Association. He regularly lectures on compulsory purchase and compensation matters for commercial conference organisers and the RICS. Before joining Ardent in 2022 He spent 15 years in the Compulsory Purchase team at CBRE, prior to which he spent 5 years in an Estate Management role advising Local Authority clients on their assets.
