Personal bio

Alliana Stiller is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and an attorney admitted to practice in Texas, Missouri, and the Russian Federation. She is the Founder of Concordia ADR and also leads a corporate advisory practice focused on cross-border strategy, governance, and complex transactions.

Ms. Stiller brings over twenty years of senior legal and executive experience across the energy, LNG, banking, private equity, and professional services sectors. Her background combines civil law and common law training with executive-level commercial leadership in multinational environments.

She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Houston Law Center (United States), a Graduate Diploma in International Arbitration from the National University of Singapore, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She earned her primary law degree in International Law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

Ms. Stiller previously served as Head of Corporate & Commercial Legal for Sakhalin Energy (Shell) in connection with the Sakhalin-II oil and LNG project, one of the largest integrated energy developments in the world. In that capacity, she advised on production sharing agreements, LNG long-term sales and purchase agreements, maritime and shipping arrangements, port operations, governmental interface, and complex cross-border commercial structures.

She also served as General Counsel for Ernst & Young in Russia and the CIS, where she led the legal aspects of the integration of Arthur Andersen’s practice and managed legal risk across multiple jurisdictions. Her experience further includes senior leadership roles in private equity (over US$2 billion in assets under management), international banking, and asset management.
Ms. Stiller has extensive experience in corporate governance, shareholder relations, joint ventures, investment structuring, and cross-border transactions. She has advised boards of directors and executive leadership on strategic, regulatory, and risk management matters in highly regulated and politically sensitive industries.

As an arbitrator, her focus includes:
- Energy and natural resources disputes (including LNG and upstream/downstream matters)
- Joint venture and shareholder disputes
- International sales and long-term supply agreements
- Infrastructure and project-related disputes
- Financial services and investment-related matters
- Complex cross-border commercial contracts

Her combined training in civil law and common law systems enables her to navigate proceedings involving parties from different legal traditions and jurisdictions. She is fluent in English and Russian and has working proficiency in French.

Ms. Stiller is a member of CIArb (Fellow) and multiple international professional associations in the fields of energy, international law, and dispute resolution.
