Personal bio

I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and an accredited Mediator with over two decades of senior-level experience in legal practice, governance, leadership, and dispute resolution.

My background includes extensive experience in legal practice, public administration, parliamentary affairs, and foreign affairs, including serving as Deputy Speaker of Parliament, a Ministerial position, and High Commissioner. In all these capacities, I have successfully managed and resolved complex legal, contractual, governance, and public-interest disputes in highly regulated and politically sensitive environments.

As a dispute resolution expert, I subscribe to a principled, impartial, and process-driven dispute resolution model in keeping with civil law traditions and augmented by extensive practical experience in property/land disputes, construction claims, contractual liabilities, governance disputes, and public authorities’ disputes.

My expertise lies in dispute resolution in urban development schemes, infrastructure development schemes, regulatory enforcement, and institutional decision-making processes where legal obligations intersect with public policy considerations.

Through my consultancy firm, EM PATHWAYS Legal & Advisory, I assist various institutions in dispute prevention strategies, negotiation techniques, and developing alternative dispute resolution systems to ensure efficient dispute resolution and risk management.

I am committed to upholding high ethical standards, independence, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development. I accept appointments as Arbitrator, Mediator, or Neutral in dispute resolution cases involving both local and foreign jurisdictions in accordance with my qualifications.
