Personal bio
Dr. Michael Chapman is an attorney, professional economist, and educator committed to building a robust arbitration practice. An active CIArb member, he has completed the Introduction to International Arbitration course and is undertaking Module 1 (Law, Practice and Procedure), while also enrolled in A Guide to Arbitration Award Writing.
He is the founder of Envision Economics, an economic consulting firm devoted to the assessment of damages in high-stakes litigation, and a partner in Winton & Chapman, a Washington, D.C.–based international trade law firm. He has published on intellectual property damages and patent litigation, and his background includes consulting with McKinsey & Company and teaching economics and strategy at leading business schools.
Dr. Chapman holds a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
